Pages from your Librarian

Welcome to fall and back to school! Sharpen your reading skills with a visit to the Elyria Public Library. Your child can get his or her own library card at any age. October starts Ghost Away your Fines! Kids can read in the library for 15 minutes and earn .25 off late fees on children's cards. Ask your librarian for more details.

Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Early Literacy

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Homework Help

Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.

Cards & Computers

The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
