Today’s libraries are transforming. For new skills for our smallest patrons to new lifelong learning opportunities for adults, the resources at your library can transform your life. Visit the Elyria Public Library System April 9-15 during National Library Week and find out how.

Pages from your Librarian

Happy New Year! Make a visit to your favorite branch of the Elyria Public Library System a part of your New Year’s resolution! There’s something for everyone here. Our winter storytimes start back up this month. Check out a new book or movie to help you pass the time during the cold month of January, or revisit an old favorite. We can also help you find the perfect book for your report or research project. Ask a children’s librarian about our STEAM kits. We might even have a craft ready for the kids to do. We hope to see you this January at the Elyria Public Library!

Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Early Literacy

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Homework Help

Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.

Cards & Computers

The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
