Pages from your Librarian

April 10th starts off National Library Week and we are excited to showcase some of the amazing things Elyria Public Library System has to offer. Want to know how apps on your tablet or phone can help you? We have Apps for Book Lovers throughout the week. For families, join us for a Lego Contest on April 13th, and for our Camping themed Family Literacy Night complete with smores, crafts, and more on April 14th. Our Storybook Stroll will be up at Ely Square, and on find our new bookmobile during the week. Come and visit us to celebrate National Library Week.

Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Early Literacy

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Homework Help

Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.

Cards & Computers

The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
