Are you ready for summer? We are almost there! We are gearing up for our Annual Summer Reading Program! Be sure to ask the staff about summer at the library. And don’t forget about the Summer Imagination Camps. Registration begins Friday, May 13. Stop by our branches for registration forms and more details.

Pages from your Librarian

Summer is here and so is Summer Reading at the Library! This year our theme is On Your Mark, Get Set… READ! Health and fitness is the name of the game this summer and to encourage healthy habits we will be offering the fun program Eat Play Grow for ages 6 and under. Caregiver and child will learn how to make healthy choices through stories, music and movement activities. Summer storytimes will be in full swing this summer, too. Come to Young Explorers on Mondays @ 11 am and Baby Play & Learn on Tuesdays @ 6 pm both at Central. And we have not forgotten our awesome Teens! They have their own summer reading program, Get in the Game READ, and cool programs to attend from an Iron Chef Battle to Supersized Board Games. We can’t wait to see you at the library!

Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Early Literacy

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Homework Help

Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.

Cards & Computers

The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
