Summer Reading Program 2021for Adults

Go wild during this summer's Summer Reading Program at the Elyria Public Library System. Join us for a season of themed "Tails & Tales" adventures. We will host events in-person in small groups, outdoors, and virtually. Everyone can find something to enjoy this summer at the Elyria Public Library System.

Registration for Summer Reading begins June 1 through Beanstack



Step 1. Register | This year, we have three registration options.

  • Option 1: Register online through Beanstack. Online registration will begin on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. If you already have a Beanstack account, there is no need to create a new one. Just log in to your account, to join the "Tails & Tales" Summer Reading Program.
  • Option 2: Visit any EPLS location to register in person.
  • Option 3: Call any EPLS location to register via phone.  

Step 2. Track your Reading | The more you read, the more chances you have to win.

  • Participants of all ages may track their reading online via Beanstack, beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Online participants will earn badges. The more you read, the more badges you will earn. 

Step 3. Have Fun! | Relax and enjoy your summer with a good book in your hands. Remember to visit the library for reading materials along with special events through the summer. See our calendar of events.



Adults | The more you read, the more chance you have at winning a prize.

  • For every book read, you earn a grand prize entry for:
    • Kindle Fire
    • Inflatable Lounger
    • Local Businesses Gift Baskets
      • Note: Additional prizes may be added after the start of the program depending on donations.
