DIFFERENT WAYS TO PARTICIPATE As we continue to observe social distancing and thorough sanitization efforts, we’re offering a variety of program types for your comfort and convenience. Pods & Squads - Bring your closest friends and family! These programs have limited space but are held multiple times throughout the day. Registration is required as well as masks and social distancing. Outdoors - Spread out! During the summer, enjoy the weather and some fun outside on the lawn. Registration is required as well as masks and social distancing. Mini Marathons - These programs are all day long. Set the pace and visit each activity provided. No registration required. While supplies last. Virtual - Enjoy programs online from the comfort of your home! Find us on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram or visit www.elyrialibrary.org for more details on virtual programs. Programs on the Go - Each week stop by the Youth Services desk at Central for an activity set to take home. Adventure Kits - Each week features a themed kit of activities, crafts, and more. Register by calling your favorite EPLS location. Registration begins each Monday at 9 a.m. for that week’s kit. Limit 2 per household. (Funded by an LSTA Grant.) KIDS Family Friendly Story Time 1st of the Month | Virtual Tune in on the 1st of each month to view Mr. Colton’s virtual story time. EPLS Virtual Story Time Thursdays | 10 am | Virtual Tune in each Thursday for a new story time on the EPLS YouTube channel. Tween Twist June 14, July 12, August 9 | Virtual Follow along with the video for fun crafts, activities, and more for this specific age group. Safari Day June 17 | All Day Mini Marathon | West River Make your own binocular craft and head outside for a safari hunt. Don’t forget your take-home treat after you’ve discovered all the animals! Kids in the Kitchen Every Third Friday | Virtual Keep your child in the kitchen this summer with some of these kid-friendly recipes. Dino Tea Party* June 21 @ 1 pm & 2:30 pm Pods | West River | Age 3-6 Join us for dinosaur stomps and stories, make your own dinosaur fossil, and put together a tea party to go. Baby Steps June 22, July 27, August 24 Virtual | Age 0-2 Miss Kim is back with play and learning techniques for your little one. Tune in to the EPLS YouTube channel to watch Miss Kim as she demonstrates simple activities such as songs, finger plays, and more to encourage your baby’s early developmental skills.
