Resource Connections on the Road

The EPL Workforce & Outreach Center (EWOC) is a mobile van outfitted with three laptops, a printer, FREE wi-fi, and seating for small group collaboration and assistance.

The EWOC is staffed by two EPL team members ready to assist you with technology issues, career concerns, and community connection awareness.

What We Can Connect You With:

One-on-One Tech Assistance:

  • Setting up and using an email account
  • Help with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft software
  • Basic computer skills
  • Completing online forms

Career Services:

  • Creating a resume
  • Job searching
  • Applying for employment

Community Connection Awareness:

  • Learn about organizations and agencies in Lorain County available to assist with your needs, such as food instability, shelter, socialization, and more
  • Resources
    • United Way of Greater Lorain County 2-1-1 Resource Database | Searchable database of human services in Lorain County, Ohio.
    • Food Pantry Finder | This site will allow you to search out any food pantries in the area by zip code. 
      It also includes things like hot meals. 
    • Genesis House | Genesis House is right here in Lorain County and helps people in abusive or unsafe at home situations. They have a 24/7 Crisis hotline which is 440-244-1853. 
    • The Nord Center | The Nord Center offers crisis services to any person in Lorain County experiencing an emotional or psychiatric crisis, including extreme feelings of despair, anxiety, stress, suicidal thoughts, assault, trauma and abuse. All services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency Crisis Hotline contact is 800-888-6161 or 440-204-4170.
